We visited with the folks at Old Forrester to pick our favorite barrel and had them bottle it up for us at full barrel strength so we could offer it to our favorite customers as a Gaspar's exclusive.
Of course, Old Forrester is no stranger to special bottles - they were the first ones to bottle a bourbon (blended from three different distilleries) in 1870. During prohibition, the Old Forester distillery was allowed to stay open and make medicinal whiskey - making it the only continuously active distillery still around.
This bottle is from Warehouse J Floor 2 bottled at barrel strength - 129.4 proof. Using their house mash bill of 72% Corn, 18% Rye, 10% Malted Barley, they make a tasty Bourbon, and this is a special bottle.
